Subject: [NN5D] URGENT: nn5d meeting in Vilnius in June?
Dear Friends,
Hope that despite the coming Easter holidays you are still available.... We
have to make an important decision right now, that is why the alarming
subject line :)
Since we had to cancel the Arkhangelsk meeting, there is an urgent task to
make alternative arrangements. After some consultations it had become clear
that the most viable option would be to meet in Vilnius in June, more
specifically from Thursday, May 31 (arrival) to Wednesday, June 6
(departure). Pentti thinks many people are expected to visit the beautiful
city of Vilnius in June, so we need to hurry in order to get hotel
accommodation.
Please, let me know at your earliest convenience whether or not you will be
able to attend the NN5D meeting if it is held in Vilnius, May 31-June 6.

Thank you very much for your messages!
Now it is clear that most of nn5d participants will be able to make it to
Vilnius in June. For some of us it is not the best time but sort of OK
anyway, several others will have to arrive a bit later or depart a bit
earlier, but still we seem to have several days when all project meeting
participants will be able to meet and discuss issues of general interest
and during the whole period, from May 31 until June 6, most of us attending
the meeting will be present.
A preliminary attendance is as follows (excluding Vilnius):
Ronneby -- 3
Kajaani -- min 2
Umea -- min 1
Pitea -- 2
Arkhangelsk - 4
Copenhagen -- 2
Please, mark your calendars and find out if you need to get a visa to go to
Lithuania. If you do need a visa, please let me know ASAP.
Pentti: could you please get in touch with Vilnius and ask them to (a) make
hotel reservation for 14 persons, and (b) provide email or fax (or phone
number) where we could send our personal details for invitations to
Lithuania, since many, if not all, of us will need visa support to obtain a
Lithuanian visa.

Leif has problems to stay til 6.6. He has some work to do (that couldn't be
